Dr. Char Whitehead is a fully licensed psychologist in the State of Michigan and currently teaches Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University. She completed a Predoctoral Internship that was approved by the American Psychological Association at Miami Dade County Psychological Services Divisions. Dr. Char Whitehead completed her doctorate degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling Psychology.
 
She has had the privilege of working with diverse populations and enjoys using her clinical expertise in treating children, couples, families and adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, grief/loss issues, parent/child relations and oppositional defiance. She has experience conducting individual psychotherapy and facilitating groups

Moreover, she is a national presenter on psychological topics concerning self-esteem and adolescents, managing systems of ADHD, and parent intervention strategies of addressing problematic behavior. She is the co-author of the book Black Lives are Beautiful.
